Audrey's Pinot Gris 2022

Audrey's Pinot Gris 2022

$60

A dry, aromatic Pinot Gris shaped by the Waitaki’s long growing season, with perfume, gentle texture and cool-climate precision.

Audrey’s 2022 is dry with Nashi pear, nectarine and lemon zest, followed by white flowers and a restrained honeyed note. Bright acidity runs through a broad, finely textured palate, leading to a chalky, persistent finish.

Vintage & Wine Details

VINTAGE

La Niña shaped the 2022 season. A warm spring brought even budburst, followed by cool, damp flowering that naturally reduced crop weight and berry size. Mild summer temperatures retained acidity, while a dry, settled autumn allowed the fruit to reach full maturity.

VINEYARD

Single-vineyard fruit from the Audrey’s block of the Clos Ostler monopole. The dry-grown vines occupy the estate’s north-facing limestone soils in the Waitaki Valley.

WINEMAKING

The fruit was harvested by hand on 6 May and whole-bunch pressed. After two days of cold settling, the juice was divided between stainless steel and French oak for fermentation with selected yeast. Twelve percent new oak and extended lees stirring contributed texture while retaining aromatic precision.
